Living In The Skeleton Of A Happy Memory by Pageninetynine PG. 99 - Living In The Skeleton Of A Happy Memory Document #7 Transcribed (badly) by Devoured by Vegans This is probably wrong, some bits i'm almost certain of others not so much. Most of these riffs are just a guide to give an idea! Pg 99 play quite loosely often with three guitarists, so be noisy and messy as you see fit. As mentioned PG.99 often had three guitarists so some of these chords maybe wrong and are more likely a compound of multiple chords on 2 or 3 guitars. Im not certain there is a third guitar on this song, if there is it sounds like it is possibly mirroring the right guitar since the right guitar track has some ghosting. I am aware that some of these riffs are simply transcribed in different positions with minor differences i think this is correct and part of what makes some of the riffs sound unusual when layered. The two obvious guitar tracks are panned left and right. Left guitar is relatively clean with a bit of overdrive Right guitar is more distorted. Play sloppy catching the G string occasionally. Riff 4c - Right Guitar (2:55) ---0---0-----| ---3---3-----| ---0---0-----| -------0-----| ---1---------| ---3---1-----| This could be two different chords played on two guitars, not sure on this. Just play messily and it sounds about right. 3:12 one guitar then plays some open strings across the G, B and E strings for 2 bars, whilst the other guitars make noises by tapping the neck and playing strings above the nut and bridge. Riff 5 - (3:26) -------------------------------------| -------------------------------------| ----------0--------------------------| -------1-----1---0-------------------| ---2---------------------0-----------| ---------------------3--------1------| This is played by the left guitar alone twice whilst the right guitar makes some noise. Riff 7c - Right guitar (5:45) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| -15---15-15-15---15-15-15/17--17-17-17/19--19-19-19-15--15-15-15---15-15-1514--14-14-14---| --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| -13---13-13-13---13-13-13/15--15-15-15/17--17-17-17-13--13-13-13---13-13-1312--12-12-12---| --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------| Apply vibrato to these octaves and play 4 bars and then tremolo pick these for the last 2. Its worth listening to the cd here, since the guitarist varies what he plays in a couple of bars. After this both guitars play some garbage high up the neck for 2 bars. Riff 8 - Both Guitars (6:49) ---------------------| ---------------0-----| ------0----0-0-0-----| ------1----1-1-1-----| ------2----2-2-2-----| ------2----2-2-------| Not sure on these chords. Outro - Both Guitars 7:06 ----3-let ring----2-let ring----| --------------------------------| --------------------------------| --------------------------------| --------------------------------| --------------------------------| Right guitar plays this, while the other guitars gently repeat an harmonic on the 7th fret of the low E string until the end. Riff 1 x 16 Riff 2 x 1 Riff 3 x 4 Riff 1 x 4 Play quieter more staccato Riff 2 x 1 Riff 4 x 6 Riff 1 x 1 Garbage x 2 Riff 5 x 8 Riff 6 x 4 Riff 7a x 1 Riff 7b x 7 Riff 7c x 6 Garbage x 2 Outro Hope this is of some help!
